About

Originally from Ireland, I am now based in Austin, TX. I am passionate about languages, culture, and sustainability. I have an M.A. in European Linguistics, B.A. in Languages & Cultural Studies and extensive experience working as a writer, editor, and proofreader. I am fluent in German and have a very good working knowledge of Spanish, French and Irish (Gaelic). I am currently volunteering as a member of the Post-Consumption & Waste Issue Area Group for the Austin/Travis County Food Planning Process.

I have over ten years experience writing, editing, and proofreading documentation for both digital and print media. I have written, proofread, and edited everything from newsletters, handbooks, case studies, and training materials, to websites, and articles appearing in linguistic journals. I also have four years experience working as an assistant in financial and internationals settings such as the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Germany and at EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company) - now Airbus - in Immenstaad, Germany.
